It seems former chief minister Vasundhara Raje is left lonely in the core team of BJP leadership.
At least this is what being reflected from the viral video of BJP leadership unveiling the Sankalp Patra on Thursday.
In the video (attached in Twitter below), Raje is seen standing clueless when national president J P Nadda, union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat flashed the poster. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was standing on the left side of Raje. Even then he got the poster first bypassing Raje. Shekhawat then called for another poster and handed it over to Raje, who till then was seen going out of colour. She after persuasion from Shekhawat ‘unwantedly' held the poster in front of media.
Action speaks louder than words
In political and media circle, the incident is being discussed widely. People have a feeling that Raje has not been given her due in public rally.
“Earlier she was not allowed to speak in prime minister's rallies. Now she is not even attending any of PM's rallies. It seems party has started ignoring her. But can BJP ignore her popularity in the state,” asks Rajaraman Singh, a Raje supporter.
Raje can't be a bystander
Those who know Raje clearly understand that the two time chief minister can't be a bystander. She is the only candidate in BJP who can leave her constituency and campaign for others.
“This shows her grip over Jhalrapatan from where she has been MLA continuously for last two decades. Assured of her victory, she is moving around ensuring victory of her supporting candidates. There may be doubts o on her candidature for chief minister but no question mark on her popularity across the state,” said Rakesh Varma, a political analyst who has studied Raje's style of politics for more than two decades.
