IPS-RPS team beats IAS-RAS team in friendly cricket match

Team of IPS and officers – Chambal – defeated the team of and officers – Mahi – by four wickets in a friendly cricket match organised on the occasion of Civil Services Day. 

The Mahi team comprised of IAS officers – chief secretary Sudhansh Pant, Praveen Gupta, Bishnu Charan Mallik, Nathmal Didel, Kanishak Kataria and RAS officers – Radheshyam Delu, Rashtradeep Yadav and Narendra Verma

The Chambal team had IPS officers – P Ramji, Pankaj Chaudhary, Abhijeet Singh and RPS officers – Lokesh Sonwal, Manish Sharma, Aditya Punia, Rudraprakash and Pushpendra Singh. 

Batting first team Mahi an order 172 runs riding on good batting performances by Radheshyam Delu (25 runs) and Rashtradeep (29 runs)

Chasing the target, the combined team of IPS and RPS team won the match by losing 6 wickets in 18.6 overs. Himanshu Jangid, who was the man of the match, scored 61 runs.

The main objective of the event was to strengthen synergy among civil servants and encourage interaction outside the workplace as well. The event was attended by several senior officials who encouraged the players.

Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, who was the chief guest of the event, presented the trophy to the winning team at the end of the match and gave participation certificates to all the players.

In the men's category, the IAS and RAS joint team won the IPS and RPS joint team in the tug of war. In the 's category of tug-of-war competition, Neetu Rajeshwar (RAS) stood first, Anuradha Gogia (RAS) stood second and Seema Meena (RAS) stood third.

In men's chess category, Hemant Kalal (IPS) stood first, Dinesh Kumar Jangid (RAS) second while Nakate Shivprasad Madan (IAS) third. In the women's category in chess, Anuradha Gogia (RAS) stood first.
