Action has just begun. While Bhajan Lal Sharma will be in Delhi today to discuss the roadmap with central leadeship, he has set up two teams – Special Investigation Team to probe paper leak and Anti Gangster Task Force to combat increasing cases of organised crime.

While SIT will be led by Additional Director General (ADG) V K Singh, the task force will be helmed by another Additional Director General (ADG) Dinesh MN, who is the natural choice as he is the best cop in the force to combat organised crime. Whether it was Anandpal encounter or Raju Thehat murder case or the recent Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi's murder case, it was the success of the team of Dinesh MN. He has extensive information network in the Shekhawati and Nagaur areas from where the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is said to be operating. He is apt at busting such organised crimes. With an impressive track record of solving high profile cases, he is the best option available in to lead this crack team.
A 1995 batch IPS officer from Karnataka, MN is currently posted as ADG Crime Branch. The task force will comprise 65 officials including one each of ADG, IG and SP rank officers and two additional SPs.

V K Singh is another intelligent officer. He is considered a dynamic and efficient officer with expertise in investigation.

A 1997 batch IPS, V K Singh is currently posted as ADG technical services. His five years stint in Central Bureau of an investigation as superintendent of police will help him in solving the high profile paper leak case where senior officers and politicians are said to be involved.

The case is also being investigated by Directorate of Enforcement (ED) which has taken some people in custody including RPSC member Babu Lal Katara.

Earlier, Special Operations Group (SOG) of Police had also done preliminary investigation and made some arrests.

“It will be a big challenge for V K Singh to prove his mettle. For some years, he had been given non significant postings. This responsibility is an opportunity for him to come back in the mainstream policing,” said a senior IPS officer
