Dr Amandeep Kapoor, a 2007 batch IPS officer, who is on central deputation serving as director, central detective training institute (CDTI), has been promoted to the grade of Inspector General on proforma basis with effect from January 1, 2025.
Kapoor has been on deputation since August 2021 when he was posted as assistant director, bureau of police research and development in New Delhi. Later he was made director in CDTI at Jaipur.
In his previous postings, Amandeep Kapoor had served as SP of Bharatpur, Bhiwadi, Sikar, Kota, Karauli, Banswara and Bikaner. He had also been DCP at Jaipur commissionerate on three occasions.
