The Indian Institute of Materials Management, a national apex body of professionals dealing with material management, organised the second edition of the prestigious
“IIMMU Procurement Awards 2023-24″ at Udaipur.
The chief guest of the award ceremony was S.N. Modani, chairman Rajasthan Textile Mills Association and vice chairman of Sangam India Limited. Retired district judge Himanshu Rai Nagori and managing director of Wonder Cement Kiran Patil were the Guests of Honour.

At the start of the ceremony Anil Mishra, chairman, IIMM-Udaipur, outlined the present and future supply chain management system and emphasised on the adoption of latest techniques of supply chain and waste management by the industries without harming the environment.

IIMM, Prof. Dr. Suresh Sharma – Joint President, CRIMM (Centre of Research in Materials Management), Shri Pankaj Panchbhai Vice President (West Elect), IIMM and national councilors and members from other branches were also present on the occasion.
The chief guest of the ceremony S N Modani emphasised the need of careful exploitation of natural resources, balanced development in the race of development in his address. He also emphasized on adopting AI tools, IoT, digital technology and reducing waste for industrial
production as well as environment protection.
Kiran Patil in his address said that technology has increased facilities but pollution has also increased along with it. The goal of industry should be to return the nature along with production.
Himanshu Rai Nagori said that industries should not only earn profit but also fulfil their social, cultural and religious responsibilities.
The national councillor of IIMM Priya Mogra informed that awards have been classified into large, medium and small sectors to make a proper analysis of talent. She said that internal jury member R.K. Daga analysed the applications received for the award while a three-member jury panel comprising Ashish Chhabra, partner, Surjit Timber Traders; Sandeep Navlekar, managing director, Darling Pumps Pvt. Ltd. and Dr. Rajesh Kumar, chief operating officer and advisor, Genus Power Infrastructure adjudged the awardees.
The Souvenir of IIMM Udaipur was also unveiled on the occasion.
