Two weeks back Yuvraj Marmat, 2022 batch IAS officer from Chhattisgarh cadre was all over in news for his marriage with P Mounika, a 2022 batch IPS from Telangana. Their love story culminated in a simple court marriage set an example for those who go for extravagant wedding ceremonies.
Now the same IAS is again in news, but for wrong reasons. A ‘Wo' element has come in between the newly wed ‘Pati-Patni' to disturb their marital chord.
It looked a perfect dream wedding straight from fairy tales until the case of blackmailing and honey trapping suddenly erupted within 15 days of their marriage.
Yuvraj Marmat has registered an FIR against a divorced woman (name withheld) for honey trapping and blackmailing him. The woman is putting pressure on him to get married or pay Rs 1.50 crore as compensation. She is allegedly blackmailing the IAS threatening him to implicate him in rape case. She is also intimidating him by saying she will commit suicide claiming IAS to be responsible.
Recently, an IPS of 2022 batch Rajesh Kumar Meena had also registered a similar case against a doctor in Jaipur. Meena had got married in May this year and his acquaintance, a lady doctor, who is also a divorcee was allegedly demanding money and blackmailing him for marriage.

According to Dileep Kumar Khadao, Station House Officer, Muhana police station in Jaipur. Yuvraj Marmat, in his FIR, has stated that he had met that woman sometime ago. During his stay in Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi, Marmat got into friendship with that woman and they started talking. Now that woman is blackmailing him threatening to implicate him in several cases. She is also intimidating him to defame his and his family on social media.
Marmat, in his FIR, has stated that she has been mentally torturing him for quite some time. The woman calls him incessantly for 10-20 times a day and threatens to commit suicide if he doesn't answer her calls. She threatens me that she will implicate him in rape case and take away his job also.
“It's taking toll on me. I am completely disturbed and distraught by her behaviour. I have given all the electronic evidences to the police, who is investigating the case,” Marmat said.
Well planned conspiracy
Marmat said that the woman is very shrewd and has planned a conspiracy against him. Her torture began after her divorce. She wants to implicate him in cases through an advocate.
“Her family knows about it. But they are also not trying to restrain her. Their family members may also be part of this conspiracy,” Marmat said.
Who is Yuvraj Marmat
Yuvraj Marmat, a 2022 batch IAS officer of Chhatisgarh cadre, was recently in news for marrying P. Mounika, a 2022 batch IPS officer of Telangana cadre in a simple court marriage. They hardly spent Rs 2,000 on marriage when people spend crores in wedding ceremonies.
Yuvraj Marmat belongs to Gangapur city in Rajasthan while Mounika hails from Telangana. Marmat's father – Sitaram Meena – is a retired officer from Rajasthan government's public relation department. A civil engineer from IIT-BHU, Marmat had worked with Indian Oil Company and Border Road Organisation (BRO) after clearing IES examination.
Marmat cracked IAS in his sixth attempt and got Chhatisgarh cadre after securing 458th rank in 2021 civil services examination.
