Yet another love story blossomed in the beautiful valleys of Mussoorie culminated in the nuptial knot.
Yuvraj Marmat, a 2022 batch IAS officer of Chhatisgarh cadre got married to P. Mounika, a 2022 batch IPS officer of Telangana cadre.
Both the officers went for court marriage in a simple ceremony at Raigarh Collectorate, where Marmat is posted as Assistant Collector.
During their marriage ceremony, Raigarh Collector Taran Prakash Sinha, CEO District Panchayat Jitender Yadav and Additional Collector Rajeev Pandey among other officers were present. Additional Collector Santan Devi Jangde handed over marriage certificate to the young couple.
Who are Yuvraj and Mounika
The bridegroom Yuvraj Marmat belongs to Gangapur city in Rajasthan while Mounika hails from Telangana. Marmat's father – Sitaram Meena – is a retired officer from Rajasthan government's public relation department. A civil engineer from IIT-BHU, Marmat had worked with Indian Oil Company and Border Road Organisation (BRO) after clearing IES examination.
Marmat cracked IAS in his sixth attempt and got Chhatisgarh cadre after securing 458th rank in 2021 civil services examination.
The bride P Mounika, who studied Pharmacology, also attempted civil services six times. Her Instagram profile says that she is a fitness freak and love music. She is also interested in meditation and public speaking while mentoring youngsters for civil services preparations.
What next
As per rule 5(2) of IAS cadre rules, either of the officers can opt for inter cadre transfer on the basis of marriage.
