Tanmay Kumar, a 1993 batch office of Rajasthan cadre has been elevated to special secretary in the rank and pay of secretary. He had been working as additional secretary in the ministry of environment, forest and climate change. Now he will handle the same portfolio but on an upgraded post.
Apart from Tanmay Kumar, Anurag Agarwal (IAS, 1990, Punjab), Chandra Sekhar Kumar (IAS, 1992, Odisha) and Punya Salila Srivastava (IAS, 1993, AGMUT) have been elevated to special secretary in the rank of secretary. While Anurag Agarwal is working in the minister of external affairs, Chandra Sekhar Kumar in Panchayatiraj, Punya Salila Srivastava is serving in the Prime Minister's office (PMO).
Among other elevations, Amit Agrawal (IAS: 1993: CG) is now Chief Executive Officer, Unique Identification Authority of India in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India while Deepti Gaur Mukerjee (IAS: 1993: MP) is now Chief Executive Officer, National Health Authorityin the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India by restoring the post to Secretary level.
