IAS T Ravikanth, 1998 batch has become one point contact for urban development and local bodies in the state also. He is serving as principal secretary medical education. In May 2023, when Kunji Lal Meena was transferred from UDH, T Ravikanth was given additional charge of that department and he constituted to serve the department in that capacity.

With medical education and udh – two important departments in portfolio – Ravikanth's hands were full. But the state government bestowed upon him yet another responsibility of local self governance (LSG) after LSG secretary Kailash Chand Meena took voluntary retirement to join as member of Rajasthan Public Service Commission in a jiffy on October 9, 2023 – hours before the enforcement of code of conduct.
Though with code of conduct in force, Ravikanth may not have much work pressure but with all the three lively departments up his sleeves, managing even routine work would be a tough task.
“Ravi is a dynamic officer. He is a silent performer. I have seen him working in all the major departments like JDA, CMO, industries, commercial taxes and finance, he has a problem solving attitude. Given to handle three important departments at a time is just a testimony to his abilities. Even senior IAS Akhil Arora is handling three important departments – finance, public relation and information technology and communication. These are not given as additional charges to him,” said a senior bureaucrat, who retired as additional chief secretary.
A bachelor in electronics engineering, Ravikanth has an eye for detailing. He has been collector of six districts including Jaipur, where he has also served as divisional commissioner.
