Rohit Gupta, who had gone on a three months study leave, has come back and rejoined as commissioner industries and commissioner of Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP)- the nodal agency which organised Rising Rajasthan.
Gupta was granted leave so that he could pursue doctorate (Ph.D) from Princeton University, New Jersey.
In his absence, first Inderjeet Singh, who was then managing director RIICO, held the charge. After his transfer, Shivangi Swarnkar, who is managing director of RIICO, was holding the charge.
Gupta had been on long leave four times before and had completed Master's degree in Public Policy.
A graduate in electrical engineering, Gupta is considered a bright and result oriented officer.
