Richie Pandey, a 2016 batch IAS officer, serving as district magistrate of Sitamarhi district of Bihar is known for his passion for singing.
Recently he was seen holding microphone and singing to the tune of famous Bollywood song Sandeshe Aate hai at a cultural programme to mark Sitamarhi's Foundation Day.
The artists who were invited to perform at the programme, were caught with surprise when the chief guest Richie Pandey enthralled the audience with his soulful voice. He was ably supported by the SP of the district, Manoj Kumar, who alos lent his voice to the song.

Whenever Richie Pandey get chance to try his vocal chords, he just grabs the opportunity. He has performed songs on multiple occasions, with his videos frequently going viral on social media. During his tenure as DDC in Patna, he once sang “Har Ghadi Badal Rahi Hai Roop Zindagi…” during a Holi celebration in the office, and the video gained significant attention online.
Pandey also got attention when he was seen singing with another IAS Tina Dabi of his batch at the IAS Training Centre in Mussoorie. During a farewell event there. Dabi was also seen singing along with him.
