A day before the two-day mega event of Tourism Department – IIFA 2025 – gets rolling, the government has given additional charge of tourism commissioner Ravi Jain, who is serving as tourism secretary.
The post of tourism Commissoner fell vacant on March 1, 2025 after the retirement of VP Singh.
IIFA is one of the most prestigious events of Bollywood and entertainment industry. This year, Rajasthan gets an opportunity to host this event. Tourism Minsiter and deputy chief minister Diya Kumar has played a key role in being this star studded event.
“IIFA will promote tourism in Rajasthan. Apart from that, it will also boost the opportunity to be the hot destination for film shooting. When people will watch film stars and Bollywood celebrities grooving to the tune of music in Jaipur, they will definitely like to visit the state,” said a senior tourism department official.
