In an overwhelming gesture , IAS Prakash Chandra Sharma, who is Banswara collector, instead of taking coercive step, pleaded a bank manager to issue long pending no objection certificate (NOC) to an account holder during Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp.
The bank manager immediately responded to the request of collector and issued the NOC within 15 minutes.
The district administration had organised a camp during newly formed BJP government's good governance Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The collector Prakash Sharma made a surprise visit at the camp. There an account holder of regional rural Bank of Baroda complained Sharma about not receiving NOC from the bank despite closing down the loan account one and a half months back.
The incident
IAS Prakash Sharma immediately called the bank manager and asked him to issue NOC immediately. To which bank manager said that NOC would be issued next day.
But Sharma was in a mood to handover the NOC to the account holder the and there. He requested bank manager with folded hands to issue the NOC on the camp itself.
Overwhelmed by the gesture of collector, the bank manager issued the NOC within 15 minutes.
“A small gesture made everyone happy. While bank manager got overwhelmed by the gesture, the account holder became happy to get the certificate he was longing for almost two months,” said Ramesh Singh, who was present in the camp.
Who is Prakash Chandra Sharma?
IAS Prakash Chandra Sharma is a 2010 batch IAS, promoted from state services. He had been collector of Pratapgarh also. He is known for innovative practices. Recently, he instructed all officers till panchayat level to form WhatsApp group and make 200-250 members in each groups. His intention was connect directly with people and circulate all the important information and schemes in real time.
