Purna Chandra Kishan, a 2005 batch IAS from Rajasthan cadre, serving as secretary skill employment and entrepreneurship development, has been appointed as joint secretary in union agriculture and farmers welfare ministry. He will go on central deputation for five years.
This is for the first time Kishan is going on central deputation. During his 19 years of service, he had served as collector in four districts – SriGanganagar, Hanumangarh, Dungarpur and Dholpur. Apart from that, he had also worked as secretary rural development, animal husbandry and panchayatiraj.
Apart from that, Muktanand Agrawal, a 2008 batch IAS officer, who has already been on deputation and elevated as joint secretary in union agriculture ministry will serve as joint secretary till November 6, 2027 completing five years. He had served as director, digital agriculture and G20 logistics before getting elevated to joint secretary level.
Rajesh Yadav, a 1996 batch officer, who was working as joint secretary in department of empowerment of persons with disabilities, has come back to home cadre before three years on personal grounds. He is awaiting posting order (APO).
