IAS Mugdha Sinha empaneled for additional secretary

Mugdha Sinha has been empanelled for additional secretary posts at centre. She is currently working as joint secretary.

Mugdha Sinha, a 1999-batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre has been empanelled as additional secretary in centre. She has been working as joint secretary since October 2022. She is the only officer from Rajasthan who got entry in the list of 26 officers empanelled as additional secretary on Monday. 

Apart from Mugdha Sinha, 12 officers of Rajasthan cadre are on central deputation. Among those, three officers – V Srinivas, Sanjay Malhotra and Rajat Kumar Mishra are serving as secretary in administrative reforms, finance and fertiliser ministries respectively. 

Tanmay Kumar, a 1993 batch IAS officer, who is currently serving as additional secretary in forest and environment has been empanelled for holding secretary level posts.

Apart from Tanmay Kumar, Naresh Pal Gangwar, Roli Singh – both from 1994 batch – are serving as additional secretary in the central government. Rajeev Thakur, a 1995 batch officer is serving as additional secretary in commerce ministry. However, his batchmate Rajesh Kumar Yadav, who is waiting for his empanelment as additional secretary, is serving as joint secretary in department of empowerment of persons with disabilities. 

Rohit Kumar, who is 1997 batch IAS officer is serving as additional secretary in cabinet secretariat. Pritam B Yashwant, a 2003 batch IAS officer, is currently serving as joint secretary and child development while his batchmate Siddharth Mahajan is serving as joint secretary in commerce ministry.

Muktanand Agrawal, who is 2008 batch officer, is serving as director in three ministry while Abhimanyu Kumar, a 2011 batch officer, is serving as deputy secretary in the commerce ministry. 

No fresh empanelment from Rajasthan

There are currently 15 officers serving in central deputation from Rajasthan. However, no fresh empanelment has been happening from the state. Those who have been even empanelled are not getting at centre. Sandeep Verma, a 1993 batch officer has been empanelled for additional secretary at centre but is not getting call from there. Similarly, Ashutosh AT Pednekar, who is 2002 batch officer, has been listed for joint secretary post but he is still waiting for suitable posting despite getting NoC from the state government.
