According to the information, the central government had approved an additional post of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), under which the state government promoted these two officers. As a result, there are now a total of 10 officers of the Chief Secretary grade in the Chhattisgarh cadre.
Prominent names among these officers are Amitabh Jain, Renu Pilla, Amit Agarwal, Manoj Pinguwa, Subrata Sahu, Nidhi Chibber, Vikas Sheel, and Richa Sharma. After these new promotions, the number of vacancies at the principal secretary level has been reduced, so that other lower-ranking officers may have to wait for promotions until the end of this year.
