IAS Avichal Chaturvedi promoted as special secretary

Avichal Chaturvedi, a 2012 batch officer has been promoted to special with effect from January 2, 2025. 

Currently, he is serving as joint secretary in home department. Now his post has been upgraded to special secretary. 

Chaturvedi has served as district collector of Alwar, and Dausa in his previous assignments. He has also worked as commissioner and mission director of Jal Jeevan Mission.

The 2012 batch which included Rukmani Riar, Om Prakash Kasera, Sidharth Sihag, Himanshu Gupta, Namit Mehta, Avichal Chaturvedi, Harji Lal Atal and Tikam Chand Bohra has been upgraded to section grade form junior administrative grade from January 1, 2025. 

From this batch Sidharth Sihag, who is serving as special secretary to minister and Tikam Chand Bohra, serving as managing director Rajfed, were promoted to special secretary earlier.
