The Himachal Pradesh government transferred and posted 17 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers with immediate effect, following the recommendations of the Civil Services Board. The orders were issued by Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena.
The key transfers include of Abid Hussain Sadiq (IAS, 2014), who has been appointed as Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (HPPCL) relieving Rakesh Kumar Prajapati (IAS, 2012) of this additional charge. Rohit Jamwal (IAS, 2014) has been posted as Director, Ayush, Himachal Pradesh.
Prajapati was given the additional charge of HPPCL after then MD Harikesh Meena was transferred from the corporation following the death of corporation's Chief Engineer Vimal Negi on March 18.
Deputy Commissioner, Sirmaur, Sumit Khimta (IAS, 2015) has been appointed as Director, Department of Empowerment of SCs, OBCs, Minorities and Specially Abled.
Priyanka Verma (IAS, 2015) will now serve as Deputy Commissioner, Sirmaur while Pradeep Kumar Thakur (IAS, 2014) has been designated as Mission Director, National Health Mission. Kiran Bhadana (IAS, 2016) has been posted as Deputy Commissioner, Lahaul-Spiti, while Pankaj Lalit (IAS, 2018) will now exclusively serve as Director, Women and Child Development.
Rahul Kumar (IAS, 2016) will now serve as Deputy Commissioner, Bilaspur, and Zaffar Iqbal (IAS, 2017) has been posted as Managing Director, Kangra Central Cooperative Bank, Dharamshala.
According to the notification issued by the Department of Personnel, Nipun Jindal (IAS, 2014 batch), Director, Ayush, who was also holding the additional charge of Director, Digital Technologies and Governance, and Managing Director, HRTC, will now function as Director, Digital Technologies and Governance, while continuing to hold the additional charge of Managing Director, HRTC.
Rima Kashyap (IAS, 2015) has been posted as Director, Language, Art and Culture, and Secretary, H.P. Academy of Art, Culture and Language.
