Body of model Divya Pahuja has been recovered from a canal in Haryana. She was murdered in Gurugram on January 2. The body of Divya Pahuja was found stuck in the canal of Koodani Head in Tohana area of Fatehabad district of Haryana on Saturday. Divya Pahuja's sister Naina Pahuja identified the body from the tattoo on her back. Assistant Police Commissioner (ACP), Crime of Gurugram, Varun Kumar Dahiya said that Divya Pahuja's body was found in the tributary canal of Bhakra Canal in Tohana. The body will be sent for post-mortem.
Police also arrested one more accused, Pravesh, who was PSO of hotel owner and prime accused in murder case Abhijeet Singh. This is the seventh arrest in this murder case. Pravesh is a resident of Rohtak, Haryana and many serious cases are already registered against him. He is accused of supplying weapons to Abhijeet. The police recovered other weapons from the possession of Abhijeet on his trail.
Police officials said that the body of Divya Pahuja was found based on information received from accused Balraj Gill, who was arrested from Kolkata airport on Thursday. According to police, Gill had disposed of the body. ASP, Dahiya told that the body will be sent for post-mortem.
When did the murder happen, who did it?
On January 2, model Divya Pahuja was shot dead in room number 111 of The City Point Hotel in Gurugram. The police claimed the act was driven by her alleged involvement in obtaining “obscene pictures” of the hotel owner, Abhijeet Singh (56), and extorting money from him through blackmail. In the CCTV footage of Hotel, Abhijeet Singh and other accused are seen dragging the alleged body wrapped in a white sheet into the lobby. In the footage, the accused can be seen keeping Divya's body in the trunk and running away from the hotel in the car. Police said that Abhijeet Singh had handed over the car to Balraj Gill (28), about a kilometer away from the hotel. This car was found abandoned at a bus stand in Patiala, Punjab.

Divya Pahuja, resident of Baldev Nagar, Gurugram, also did small modeling work. She was the alleged girlfriend of gangster Sandeep Gadoli, resident of Gadauli village of Gurugram. Sandeep Gadoli was encountered by Gurugram Police in Mumbai in the year 2016.
