Helicopter joyride to resume in Jaipur, may cost Rs 5,000 for 5 min

Soon tourists can have an aerial view of Jaipur's panoramic beauty. The is going to resume the helicopter rides for tourists after a break. The helicopter services were stalled on April 2 this year after launching on March 19, 2023.

Tourists will have an opportunity to have a full gaze of picturesque scenery of Jaipur including the majestic fort, daunting Nahargarh, imposing Jaigarh, vivacious Jal Mahal, heritage HawaMahal, rich forest on Arawali foothills and ever bustling markets of Jaipur.

They will enjoy the beauty of Jaipur without getting stuck in traffic jams. They can have a joy ride on helicopter, that too at nominal cost of Ra 5,000 for five minutes.

In the first phase the government will start the service in Jaipur and followed by similar services in Jodhpur, Udaipur and Nathdwara in second phase.

In the third phase, the government has proposed to cover all important temples through helicopter.

According to CEO of Aone helicopters, the helicopter services will start in Jaipur in this month only.

“We have done all the preparations. This time we are planning to set up helipad near Jaipur city instead of Kukas so that tourists can enjoy aerial view of Jaipur at reasonable cost,” he said.

He said that the company has identified three grounds near city area where helipad can be developed.

“Right we are completing the formality of security check and permissions,” he said .

Charges fixed at Rs 1000 for one minute

The company has proposed to fix the charges at Rs 1000 for one minute. For his they have designed two tracks.

Track I – They will charge Rs 5,000 for five minutes to cover the track one which included , , Sargasooli, City Palace, Albert Hall and markets of walled city.

Track II – The charges for this tack will be Ra 10,000 for 10 minutes. The track includes Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Sargasooli, City Palace, Albert Hall, markets of walled city Garh Ganesh temple, Amer, Nahargarh, Jaigarh, Galtaji temple and beautiful mountains of Aravalis.

Helicopter Bell 407 will be used

For the joy ride Helicopter Bell 407 will be used. This Rs 32 crore single engine helicopter is considered one of the safest flying machines.

The seven seater helicopter runs on 863 horse power engineer and can attain a speed of 246 km per hour. It can travel 624 kms at a stretch and can attain a height of 1850 feet in one minute.
