Wife of IPS Rajan Susra committed suicide at her home by hanging herself from the roof. Rajan Susra, a 2011 batch IPS, promoted from state police service, is posted in Valsad heading the Marine Task Force, Hazira. His wife Shaluben, 47, was staying at his house in Thaltej. The reason for her suicide is unknown. The police is investigating the case and they will invest Susra about her death.
According to Mehul Jhunja, nephew of Susra, the IPS was busy in marriage ceremony for four-five days and he came back to home in afternoon only. “When Mausi came back to home at night from marriage, Susra was sleeping. Generally Mausi used to get up early morning and do pooja. But today, Susra opened the door in the morning and saw Mausi hanging,” Jhunja said.

Rajan Susra was superintendent of police in Morbi when violence had erupted during Patidar agitation. The state government immediately removed Susra and transferred him.
