The protest against the killing of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi has been withdrawn after written assurances from administration. The administration has immediately suspended the staff of Shyam Nagar police station under which the murder took place and promised to arrest killers of Gogamedi within 72 hours.
The cremation will take place at 2 pm in Gogamedi village in Hanumangarh district. The post-mortem of the body will take place late night today.
This has brought relief to administration which was at toes for last 40 hours. Supporters of Gogamedi had called for Rajasthan bandh on Wednesday, which had thrown the normal life out of gear.
Thousands of supporters were staging dharna outside the hospital where the dead body of Gogamedi was placed.
Gogamedi's wife Sheela Shekhawat announced to call off the protest.
The president of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot dead by two assailants on Tuesday at his residence. The killers have been identified and police has conducted crackdown at various places to nab the murderers. The killers have be identified as Rohit from Makrana and Nitin Fauji from Mahendragarh in Haryana.
Nitin Fauji is a serving soldier in Indian Army who is on annual leave. He is currently posted in Alwar.
The Rajasthan police has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by Additional director general Dinesh MN to crackdown on killers of this murder case. Dinesh MN was on leave but he was called abruptly to handle the case, which has set the state on fire.

The SIT is led by additional director general police Dinesh MN. The team has almost same members who were part of encounter of gangster Anand Pal Singh, which was also led by Dinesh MN. The team has IPS Karan Sharma, RPS Vidya Prakash, former RPS Sanjeev Bhatnagar and cop Narendra Singh.
