Gehlot hurls his favourite ‘words’ on union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, curses him for ERCP

Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot called union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat ‘Nikamma-Nakara' – words became famous after Gehlot is said to have used it a couple of times on Sachin Pilot.

Gehlot blamed Shekhawat for not giving Eastern Rajasthan Canal (ERCP) status of national project.

“Minister is from Rajasthan. He is such a nikamma-nakara (useless) minister that he can't even get one project the status of national project,” he said.

He also accused and all the 25 members of parliament from for showing apathy towards the project which is aimed at providing to people of 13 districts.

“Prime Minister had promised to announce it as the national project. But he didn't fulfil it. Rajasthan have BJP 25 parliamentarians but they together can't get one project the status of national project. There are 16 national projects running in the country. Had Rajasthan also got one, what wrong would have happened,” he said

He said that all these people just make excuses and misguide people of Rajasthan.

“What are these 26 MPs doing. If we ask these MPs, public has posed trust in you and what you all are doing? They don't have any answer to it,” Gehlot said.

Gehlot said that public suffers the maximum when a government changes.

“You can't imagine how big a setback is when government changes. Now the time has come to ponder about it. We envisioned refinery worth Rs 38,000 crore which has gone up to Rs 72,000 crore,” he said.

He said that he can count on a large number of projects and schemes which were discontinued by BJP government and public has to suffer because of that.

He said ERCP was the project started during government.

“But we didn't shelve it. We are expanding the project. I feel sorry that the project, which covers 13 districts including Jaipur, has not been declared as national project,” he said.
