Rajasthan medical and health department principal secretary Gayatri Rathore has her task cut out for improving health facilities at district level.
She has planned to visit at least two districts in a month and review the healthcare system at district hospitals.
“This is for the first time health secretary is visiting along with senior officials of health departments to review health services at district level,” Gayatri Rathore said.
She said that the entire district administration is sensitive towards providing quality healthcare to people.
“During review, district collector and entire medical and health department of the district are called for review. We ensure that doctors attend hospitals regularly and treat patients with empathy,” she said.
She said that district collectors will have to take special care of hospitals and healthcare and should review regularly about the development in their district.
“We need to ramp up health facilities at primary health centres (PHC) as these centres cater to poorest of the poor population and we need to provide the with the best available healthcare,” Gayatri Rathore said.
