The Canadian-based gangster Goldy Brar has been declared a ‘terrorist' under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) by the of India's Home . The move comes as part of the government's intensified efforts to combat transnational criminal activities and curb the influence of individuals involved in unlawful and extremist activities.

Goldy Brar, known for his alleged involvement in organized crime, has now been designated a terrorist, signaling a determined stance by the authorities to address cross-border criminal networks. The declaration under UAPA empowers the government to take stringent measures against Brar, including freezing his assets, imposing travel restrictions, and facilitating international cooperation for his arrest.

Simultaneously, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has identified 43 individuals believed to be supporters of the Khalistan movement. These individuals are allegedly connected to the violent incidents that occurred at the Indian in London on March 19. The NIA's findings suggest a nexus between the individuals and activities aimed at promoting separatist ideologies.

In response to these , the Indian government is actively planning a series of measures against the identified Khalistan supporters. These measures include a proposed visa ban, deportation proceedings, cancellation of Overseas Citizen of India (OIC) cards, attachment of properties linked to the individuals, and potential arrests. The comprehensive approach aims to disrupt the support network of those involved in promoting extremism and violence against India's interests abroad.

The government's actions highlight its commitment to safeguarding national security and preventing the misuse of international platforms for activities detrimental to India.
