Four IAS from Rajasthan to go for duty in Delhi polls

Four IAS officers – Kant Pathak, Bhanu Prakash Yeturu, Inderjeet Singh and Saurabh Swami – have been assigned election duty for the Delhi to be held on February 5, 2025. Results will be declared on February 8, 2025. 

During the duty, Shuchi Tyagi, transport secretary, has been given assurance charge of personnel secretary being handled by Krishna Kant Pathak

Similarly, the charge of Bhanu Prakash Yeturu, who is serving as secretary, tribal area development, has been given to Kuldeep Ranka, who is serving as additional social justice and empowerment department. 

The charge of Inderjeet Singh, who is serving as managing director RIICO with additional charge of commissioner, bureau of investment promotion (BIP), has been given to Akash Tomar, who is serving as executive director RIICO. 

The charge of Saurabh Swami, who is serving as additional commissioner BIP, has been given to Mahipal Kumar, an RAS officer serving as deputy secretary industries.

BIP on an interim arrangement 

With this, both the important positions of BIP have been assigned as additional charge. BIP was the nodal agency, which organised Rising Rajasthan drawing an investment commitment of over Rs 36.4 crore. 

Recently, the ‘regular' BIP commissioner Rohit Gupta, went on a study leave handing over charge to Inderjeet Singh. Now the charge of Saurabh Swami, additional commissioner BIP, is also going for an interim arrangement.
