Former mayor and Congress a leader Jyoti Khandelwal joined BJP along with former president of Jodhpur university Ravindra Singh Bhati.
Among others former IPS Kesar Singh Shekhawat and Bheem Singh Bika have also joined BJP.
Former MLA from Congress Dr Chandrashekhar Baid, who is son of Congress stalwart Chandan mal Baid has also joined BJP.
Jyoti Khandelwal, who had contested last Lok Sabha elections on Congress ticket, is likely to contest from Kishanpole.
“BJP wanted a strong candidate from Kishanpole and Jyoti fits the bill,” said a senior BJP leader.
Student leader Ravindra Singh Bhati has been active in politics for some time in western Rajasthan. He is likely to contest from Sheo.
