Former IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre BR Gwala passed away after a prolonged illness while treatment at Medanta Hospital, Gurugram. Gwala was 76 years old.
The cremation will take place on January, 6, 2025 at crematorium in Khatipura, Jaipur at 3 pm.
Gwala, a 1987 batch IPS officer promoted from state police, was a bold officer and had cracked several cases during his more than 35 years of police service.
As an IPS, he had served on several important posts including SP of Ajmer, Kota (rural), Alwar and Jaipur (rural). As an Inspector General (IG), he had served as IG RAC-II and Jaipur Range -II before retiring as IG RAC – III.
A resident of Bhopalgarh Jodhpur, Gwala was a recipient of President's Police Medal for his outstanding services in police department.
