A day after former IAS PV Ramesh questioned the arrest of former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill development corporation scam, the Hyderabad-based Infrastructure giant Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) has sacked Ramesh, who was acting as an adviser in the company.
The MEIL is said to have taken a serious note of PV Ramesh's comments and the advisor was asked not to report for duty from Tuesday. Later Ramesh sent the company the resignation letter due to personal reasons.
PV Ramesh is a retired IAS officer and Principal Secretary of the Finance Department of Andhra Pradesh during Chandrababu Naidu's regime. He created a flutter on Monday by blaming the Andhra Pradesh CID for arresting N Chandrababu Naidu.
Ramesh said that Naidu's role was confined to only taking policy decisions, while it was the then managing director (Premchandra Reddy) and secretary (Ajeya Kallam) in the case, questioning their absence from the proceedings.
