Dr Nitin Pande of Jaipur SMS Hospital died due to cardiac arrests he was 48.
Dr Nitin Pande was posted as Professor in the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation. He was a good sportsperson.
What happened?
Dr Nitin was on a vacation with family. He had gone to his in law's place in Ratlam where he suffered heart attack. His family members took him to the hospital but he could not survive.
A native of Bhilwara, Pande had studied MBBS from Udaipur's Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical College before completing MD in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from SMS Medical College.
According to his colleagues, he was a good cricket with active interest in other sports as well.
Such cases gone up post Covid
After Covid, cases of cardiac arrest and heart attack are on rise. In last one and half years, there have been 4-5 cases where doctors died due to brain stroke or cardiac arrest.
Earlier, Dr R K Gupta, medical superintendent of J K Lone Hospital died due to brain stroke. Apart from that a couple of doctors working in private hospitals have also suffered cardiac arrest.
According to doctors, post Covid the blood has thickened and during winters the veins shrink resulting in high blood pressure and sometimes it becomes fatal.
