The event, graced by esteemed guests including Justice (Retd.) S. Abdul Nazeer, of , shed light on Dr. Hedgewar's profound impact on Indian nationalism and his enduring legacy.

Speaking at the occasion, Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) General Secretary Dattatreya Hosalbe emphasised his integral role in shaping the ethos of the RSS, describing him as a visionary whose innate patriotism fueled his lifelong dedication to the . Hosalbe highlighted the relevance of Dr. Hedgewar's principles in inspiring the current generation towards nationalistic fervor and societal upliftment.

The biography, originally authored in Marathi by Nana Palakar and translated into English by the late Dr. Anil Nainé, offers a comprehensive insight into his life and philosophy. Reflecting on his leadership, Hosalbe emphasised the essence of humility and dedication embedded in his persona. Justice Nazeer commended his foresight in laying the foundation for an institution that continues to inspire generations worldwide with its ideals and actions.

Who is Dr. Hedgewar?

RSS was founded in 1925 by Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, a doctor in the city of Nagpur, British India. Hedgewar was a protege of B. S. Moonje, a Tilakite Congressman, Hindu Mahasabha politician and social activist from Nagpur.
