Daughter of a UP state civil service officer gang raped, accused arrested

In a heart wrenching incident, 23 year old daughter of a serving state civil service officer of Uttar Pradesh government was gang raped in a moving Wagon R car in . The had arrested all the three accused who have been identified as Satyam Mishra (22), Suhail (23) and Aslam (31).

The case

According to Chiranjeev Nath Sinha, Additional DCP (West Zone), who is supervising the probe, the victim had gone to the King George's Medical University (KGMU) where she was under the treatment of a psychiatrist.

Her phone ran out of battery. She sought help of Satyam Mishra, who runs a stall near the hospital. Satyam took her mobile to a nearby ambulance parked in the hospital premises and put that on charge.

Meanwhile, the girl waited at his tea stall. After some time, the girl asked Satyam for the mobile and said that the mobile must had been charged by now. Satyam took the girl along to the ambulance but the ambulance had left by then. The two then went on pretext of catching the ambulance. Near IT college crossing, two more youth – Aslam and Suhail – joined Satyam and forced the girl into Wagon R car.

The three then kept driving the car, intoxicated the girl and raped her by turn inside the car. They also film the activity. After some time they stopped at dhaba had food and again raped her before discharging her at polytechnic circle.

The traumatised girl the approached her friend and then after few days told her parents about the ordeal.

How police arrested the rapists

The police out a verification drive of 120 kiosks/stalls and took their photos and showed it to the survivor. They picked up Satyam who worked at the tea stall which was owned by Suhail and Aslam whose was used in the act.

The surveillance details and CCTVs nailed their role in the crime.
