CS Sudhansh Pant to review the progress of secretaries

Rajasthan chief secretary is serious about tight monitoring. He has directed to convene regular meeting of secretaries which include officers at the level of chief secretaries, principal secretaries, secretaries, special secretaries and joint secretaries. 

The first meeting is scheduled in the morning of January 29, 2024. 

“The frequency of meeting has not been decided yet. But this meeting will be a regular feature where chief secretary Sudhansh Pant will review the progress of each department,” said a senior officer.

The chief secretary Sudhansh Pant will review the progress of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, of complaint on sampark portal and progress of each department. 

The chief secretary would like to know about time frame for disposal of files. 

“The CS will push for complete implementation of e-filing. He would also ask every individual currently how much time is taking for file disposal vis-a-vis December 2023. All flies should be disposed within a given frame of time,” the official said.

Sudhansh Pant will also ask every department head as to how many times they visited subordinate offices in this month. 

“The review will be tight and aimed at incorporating . Punctuality and effectiveness of staff will be impressed upon. The government is focus on giving a corruption free governance,” the official said.

The chief secretary will also discuss thr Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of each department. In the last meeting, CS has asked all departments to make their KPIs and submit so that the chief secretary office can devise review machanism against standards accordingly.

For review and monitoring of infrastructure , CS had instructed department of information technology and communication to develop common dash board. He will review the progress on this.

Sudhansh Pant had a crackdown on JDA

Recently, Sudhansh Pant had a sudden visit to JDA where he found irregularities and unpunctuality among staff. To set an example, he put JDA secretary, an additional commissioner and a deputy commissioner on . The JDA commissioner Manju Rajpal later handed over notices to employees who had come late. As a positive outcome of that visit, commissioner Manju Rajpal developed a standard operating procedure (SOP) for every action in JDA. Reemployed and contractual staff were asked to leave and a special focus on punctuality is being given these days.
