Sirohi collector Alpa Choudhary will not be able to use her car now without permission of court. A local court has attached Sirohi Collector's official car for not refunding money taken from one Sonu Kanwar for allotment of a flat under Mukhyamantri Awaas Yojana.
Kanwar despite depositing the money could not get the allotment. The car was later released after collector Alpa Choudhary, SP Anil Beniwal, ADM and ASP went to the court and met DJ Rupa Gupta.
According to advocate Bhairupal Singh, government had constructed flats under Mukhyamantri Awaaas Yojana at Sirohi and Pindwara.
The administration allotted the flats on lottery basis. The government asked applicants to deposit money before and after opening of lottery.
One of the applicants Sonu Kanwar deposited Rs 2,82,256 on December 13, 2017.
But like many other applicants, Sonu Kanwar too didn't get the allotment. The allotted then demanded refund from the government, which didn't release the refund.
Then Sonu filed a petition before the permanent Lok Adalat in Sirohi and made district collector Sirohi and nagar parishad Pindwara parties in the case.
The CJM court in January 2024 decided in favour of Sonu and ordered district collector to pay an award of Rs 4,60,908. When Sonu didn't get the money, the applicant again approached the court on March 18, 2024. Even then the collector didn't pay money with interest.
Then the court ordered for the attachment of collector's official car – RJ23UA2355.
