Congress releases manifesto in MP, focus on youth, women and poor

Madhya Pradesh president Kamal Nath, on Tuesday, released party's manifesto for the assembly elections.

Releasing the manifesto Kamal Nath said that the party will try to form an IPL team of MP.

He also guaranteed free electricity up to 100 units, an old pension scheme and an unemployment allowance. The manifesto contains 59 topics, 225 main points and 1290 verses. 

A large number of announcements have been made regarding youth, farmers, government employees, Scheduled , Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes welfare and happy families. In particular, the focus is on reducing the cost of farming. In its manifesto, the Congress has also promised to conduct a caste census, a promise has been making in every meeting.

Congress has also promised to give fishing rights to fishermen and farmers. The party will give reservations 50 per cent to women in cooperative institutions. Agricultural labourers will be named as crop protectors and will be given kits for training.

Priyanka and Rahul's promises are also in the manifesto.

The Congress has also included the promises of Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi in its manifesto. Under the scheme, children of government schools will be guaranteed Rs 500 per month from classes 1 to 8, Rs 1000 for categories 9 to 10, and Rs 1500 per month to the children of classes 11 to 12. There is also a mention of making school education free in Madhya Pradesh. Priyanka had announced this while addressing a gathering in Mandla district on October 12. A place has also been given to conduct a caste census. This was guaranteed by Rahul Gandhi

Promises of Congress

  • Wheat will be purchased from farmers at Rs 2600 /quintal and paddy at Rs 2500 per quintal.
  • Along with giving 5 horsepower free electricity, a 50 per cent discount will be given up to 10 horsepower.
  • -friendly apps will be made available to farmers.
  • Nandini Godhan Yojana will be launched. Cow dung will be purchased at the rate of Rs 2/kg.
  • Restart 1,000 cow shelters started by Congress.
  • Grants for Cow grass will increase.
  • A bonus of Rs 5 per litre will be given on the purchase of milk through the cooperative sector.
