Hours before the enforcement of code of conduct, Col (retd) Kesari Singh Rathore has been appointed as member of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). Rathore is the second retired officer from army who has been inducted into government recruitment agency after appointing Maj General Alok Raj as chairman of Rajasthan Staff Selection Board.
Now great onus would be on these two armed force personnel to reinstate trust on government recruitment agencies after spate of cases of paper leak and corruption. Kesari, 47, will have the chance of serving full tenure of six years.
Col Rathore said that he is committed to serve the commission with honesty and integrity and will bring transparency in the commission.
“We will work together with other members and chairman to bring more transparency in system We have to bring the glory of RPSC back,” he said.
The other members of the board include Sanjay Shroyriya as chairman, Dr Sangeeta Arya, Dr Jaswant Rathi and Dr Manju Sharma as members. Babu Lal Katara, who has been jailed on his involvement in paper leaks, is still designated as member.
Apart from Rathore, the government has appointed Kailash Chand Meena and Prof Ayub Khan also as members in the commission. The full bench of RPSC has one chairman and seven members.
Rathore has served Indian Army for 21 years and nine months before seeking voluntary retirement. He is a graduate engineer in Electronic from Jai Narayan Vyas University and a management graduate from premier institute XLRI, Jamshedpur.
An alumnus of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Rathore has had a great career in armed forces. He had been active in politics also post retirement.
He was a serious candidate from Makrana, where he had been active in social works like training of youth and providing facilitation to old people.
Alok Mathur is a law graduate. Journalism is his first love which he now pursues in the latter half of his career. Controversies and crime are the right triggers for him.
