In a minor hiccup, the car in which the newly elected Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was travelling, got off-road after the driver lost little control over the car near Poonchari village. However, no damage has been reported.
Bhajan Lal Sharma has been boarded safely in another car.
According to information, the incident happened when Bhajan Lal Sharma was on his way to Govardhan from Bharatpur at around 8.15 pm, the driver lost the control due to darkness and car advanced towards a nala on side of the road.
The car tilted towards the nala on the side where CM was seated and the engine also went off. No injury and no damage was reported.
Bharatpur SP Mridul Kachhawa informed that the CM was later sent for Darshan of Temple in Govardhan in a separate car. CM is completely safe and there is no need to panic.
Accident of two cars in CM cavalcade happened on way to Bharatpur also
Earlier in the morning when CM was on his way from Jaipur to Bharatpur, two cars in the cavalcade collided with each other leaving three BJP workers injured. The accident happened near Thikaria on NH 21 when a car moving ahead suddenly applied brake and the car coming from behind hit it. The injured were taken to Manpura primary health centre, where doctors, after first aid, referred them to district hospital for further treatment.
First visit to home district
This is the first time CM Bhajan Lal Sharma had visited Bharatpur after becoming the chief minister. He received a rousing welcome in his home district. He visited his home at Jawahar Nagar and met his relatives.
