Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma closes in on finalising his cabinet. He met senior leaders in Delhi at the residence of national president J P Nadda to discuss the formation of his cabinet.
Home minister Amit Shah, deputy chief minister Diya Kumari, deputy chief minister Prem Chand Bairwa, state president C P Joshi, state incharge Arun singh, co incharge Vijaya Rahatkar, union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, union minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Rajendra Singh Rathore and Satish Punia among other senior leaders were present.
According to sources, the cabinet ministers will be decided to balance the caste and regional balance.
“Since the chief minsiter is a first time MLA, there are chances that cabinet will be mix of fresh and experienced faces. As many as 15-17 ministers are likely to be appointed in first phase. These ministers will be picked up keeping in mind the Lok Sabha elections,” said a senior BJP functionary.
Earlier in the day, chief minsiter and both the deputy chief ministers met president Draupadi Murmu and defence minister Rajnath Singh, who had come to announce chief minister in the state.
