CM Bhajan Lal Sharma in self isolation, tests Covid positive

After testing Covid positive, Rajasthan chief minister confined himself in self isolation. He will now attend programmes virtually

Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma has been tested Covid positive after check up by doctors. 

Sharma was suffering from cold and cough when doctors conducted Covid test on him only to find him positive.

In a tweet, Bhajan Lal Sharma wrote that he has confined himself in self isolation and following instructions of doctors. He announced that he will be participate virtually in all forthcoming programmes.

“Got my test done today after facing health issues over the past few days, my Covid report has come positive. “I am in self-isolation and am completely following the advice of doctors and will participate in all the upcoming programmes through the virtual medium,” he tweeted.

Former chief minister , who was tested Covid and Swine flu positive, last month, has wished speedy recovery for Bhajan Lal Sharma.

Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot had got infected with Covid at least thrice during his tenure. 

Bhajan Lal Sharma got infected with Covid at a crucial time ahead of Lok Sabha elections. Recently, BJP had announced 15 candidates out of 25 Lok Sabha . There are still 10 candidates to be announced.

The party is eyeing to repeat last time's performance when BJP had won 24 seats with one seat going to its then ally Hanuman Beniwal's RLP, who had won the Nagaur seat. This time BJP is contesting on all the 25 seats. Jyoti Mirdha, who is a turncoat from Congress and has lost election on BJP ticket from Nagaur, is now contesting Lok Sabha election also from Nagaur.

The chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has a key role to play in the Lok Sabha elections. He is touring around the state championing Modi Ki Guarantee.

“Bhajan Lal Sharma has been working very hard to ensure landslide win for BJP. He has been able to project his government as a clean and corruption free government so far,” said a senior IAS officer.
