CEO Praveen Gupta gets discharged from hospital

IAS Praveen Gupta, () of has been discharged after proper treatment at SMS hospital. He was admitted today morning on complaints of breathing problems.

His chest X-ray came out to be normal with 98% blood oxygen saturation.

The of Dr. Sudhir Mehta, Dr. Sohan Sharma and Dr. Bharat Bhushan Sharma have him clearance to go.
“We wanted to keep him under observation. But Praveen Gupta was eager go back. He said he had some important meetings as counting is on December 3,” said a senior doctor attending Gupta.

Gupta was admitted due hypoxia

Earlier in the morning Gupta was admitted in ICU of SMS hospital under the supervision of Dr Sudhir Mehta. He was brought to hospital in a semiconscious state on complaints of breathing trouble.

According to hospital sources, food particles went into the wind pipe of Gupta when he was having breakfast. That caused condition of hypoxia and he was immediately taken to hospital.

Gupta conducted election successfully.

Pravin Gupta, a 1995 batch IAS, has been credited to have conducted in Rajasthan with an all-time record turnout of 75.45% He is said to have led the team single-handedly with technological intervention. Under his tenure, the poll was conducted peacefully barring few incidents of violence.

“It has nothing to do with the pressure of election. He has been admitted as food particles entered in the wind pipe which can happen to anyone. You can't relate his illness to fatigue,” said a senior doctor of SMS Hospital.
