The central government changes senior level officers in ministries in a major reshuffle. The officers are at the level of joint secretaries and above

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Friday effected a major bureaucratic reshuffle in which senior officers have been changed. These officers include from and allied services.

  1. Indra Mallo (IAS: 1999: MH) was appointed as Joint Secretary, National Authority Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC) for an overall tenure of five years upto 27.02.2027 vice Sudhanshu Gupta (IFoS: 1989: TN).
  2. Krishan Kumar (IAS: 2002: OD) was appointed as MD, National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways for an overall tenure of five years ending 08.03.2027. He replaces Chanchal Kumar (IAS: 1992: BH).

Apparao Veerelli (IRSS: 1993) was appointed as CEO, Development & Welfare Board for Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNCs) under the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment for a tenure upto the date of his superannuation on 31.08.2028.

  1. Akhilesh Misra (IRSME: 1995) was appointed as ED (Personnel), Food Corporation of India (Hqrs) for a tenure of five years vice Bijay Kumar Singh (IPS: 1996: KN).
  2. Jha (IFoS: 1992: AP) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation for a tenure of five years vice Abhay Kumar Singh (IAS: 2004: BH).

Bhavna Saxena (IPS: 1996: AP) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH for an overall tenure of five years ending 15. 02.202. She replaces Rahul Sharma (IAS: 1998: JH).

Madhukar Kumar Bhagat (IRS IT: 1995) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare for a tenure of five years vice Sachin Mittal (IPoS: 2000).

  1. Meera Srivastava (IRS IT: 1999)was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare for a tenure of five years vice Gayatri Mishra (CSS).
  2. Shreeshail Malge (IRAS: 2002) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship for a tenure of five years Kumar Dwivedi (IAS: 1996: AM).

Anjali Sinha (IRSME: 1997) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy for a tenure of five years. She replaces Sanjay Kumar (IRAS: 1989).

  1. Binod Kumar (ICAS: 1993) was appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) under the Ministry of AYUSH till superannuation i.e. 31.01.2025.
  2. Krishan Kumar Singh (IRSSE: 1997) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology for a tenure of five years. He replaces Amit Agrawal (IAS: 1993: CG).

Arvind Kumar (CSS) was appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Allied & Healthcare Profession (NCAHP) under the Department of Health & Family Welfare till superannuation i.e. 30.04.2025.

  1. Sreyasi Chaudhuri (CSS) was appointed as Financial Adviser(FA), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under MHA till her superannuation on 30.11.2026. She replaces Ravinesh Kumar (IDAS: 1994).

Sumita Singh (CSS) was appointed as Advisor, NDMA for a tenure of five years vice Sreyasi Chaudhuri (CSS).

  1. Dhrubajyoti Sengupta (IRAS: 1999) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare for a tenure of five years vice Sanjiv Narain Mathur (IRAS: 1992).
  2. Yashashri Shukla (IP&TA&FS: 1996) was appointed as Additional Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) for a tenure of five years. She replaces Ms M Janaki (lAS: 2005: AP).

Kumar Sanjay Bariar (IP&TA&FS: 1993) was appointed as Additional Secretary, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) under the Department of Personnel & Training for an overall tenure of five years ending 18.08.2024. He replaces Vinakshi Gupta (IDAS: 1992).

  1. Shailendra Kumar (ICAS: 1999)was appointed as Joint Secretary, Inquiry Commission (into whether Dalit converts to religions other than Sikhism or Budhhism should get SC status) under the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment for a tenure of five years by temporarily upgrading the post of Director (Research) to JS level.

Tiwari (IFoS: 1993: JK) was appointed as Joint Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled  (NCSC) for an overall tenure of five years ending 01.12.2024 vice Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh (IP&TA&FS: 1992).

  1. Devendra Kumar Rai (IDAS: 2000)was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Telecommunications for a tenure of five years vice Anand Singh (IAS: 2000: KL).
