The cabinet expansion of Madhya Pradesh will take place at 3.30 pm at Governor House today. The chief minister Mohan Yafab has handed over list of ministers to be sworn-in to Governor Mangu Bhai Patel.
Mohan Yadav said that new ministers will take oath at 3.30 pm.
“Under the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah and under the guidance of senior leaders, the cabinet of Madhya Pradesh will work toward the welfare of the state,” he said.
There is possibility that around 28 ministers will take oath in the first expansion of the cabinet. Sources said that the central leadership has given green signal to all the proposed names.
Sources said that the cabinet may have faces like Prahlad Patel and Kailash Vijayvargia who have become MLA from parliamentarians.
“Among new faces there is possibility of Hoshangabad MLA Sitasaran Sharma, Ratlam MLA Chetan Kashyap and Kalapeepal MLA Ghanshyam Chandravanshi are likely to be included in the cabinet.
It's been more than 12 days that Mohan Yadav had taken oath as chief minister along with deputy chief ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda.
There has been lot of discussions and deliberations while finalising the cabinet.
The cabinet will have right mix of new faces and experienced hands along with balanced caste equations looking ahead at the Lok Sabha elections.
Mohan Yadav, former education minister is Shivraj Singh Chouhan, cabinet has experience of running a ministry.
“Now he will have to take senior and fresh MLAs together in the run up to the Lok Sabha elections. For BJP, next elections are crucial for registering hat trick. The party is expecting maximum seats from Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, which it had won recently. In last elections, among these three states BJP had lost only seat that went to Congress leader Kamalnath's son Nakulnath.
