Transfers of Collectors

There are at least five collectors who are likely to get transferred. According to sources, the state may change collectors of , Pali, Barmer, Jaisalmer and Jalore. While collectors of Pali and Jalore – Namit Mehta and Nishant Jain – may be given bigger districts after their performance during handling crisis like situation in Biparjoy, Barmer collector Arun Kumar Purohit may be sent to cold storage. Chief minister Ashok Gehlot had shown his displeasure for mismanagement at a Mehngai Rahat camp in Barmer. Tonk Collector has been one seat since more than 2 years.
