The much awaited bureaucratic reshuffling is likely to happen ahead of monsoon session which starts from July 14. Apart from accommodating five officers – Anandhi, Rajan Vishal, Archana Singh, Inderjeet Singh and Neha Giri – put on Awaiting Posting Order since their return, few collectors will be transferred keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections.
Postings for Officers on APO:
Four IAS officers, Rajan Vishal, his wife Archana Singh – both 2008 cadre, Inderjeet Singh and his wife Neha Giri – both 2010 cadre officers would be given postings after their return from study leave. While Rajan Vishal pursued certificate course in leadership, management and decision sciences from the premier Harvard University, his wife accompanied him on leave. Similarly, Inderjeet Singh attended one year master degree on public policy from University of Princeton, New Jersey while at 2007 batch Anandhi had returned after serving as deputy director in LBSNAA, Musoorie
Before leaving for abroad, both Rajan Vishal and Archana Singh wedre handling key positions. While Vishal was serving as Jaipur collector while Archana Singh as Managing Director of RIICO. Inderjeet Singh was handling the affairs at BIP while his wife Neha Giri was serving as chairman and managing director of Rajasthan Handloom Development Corporation. Anandhi before leaving during the peak Covid period, was serving as Alwar Collector.
According to sources, Vishal, Archana and Inderjeet Singh are likely to get key positions once again while Neha Giri and Anandhi may be handed over a little less important portfolios.
Transfers of Collectors
There are at least five collectors who are likely to get transferred. According to sources, the state government may change collectors of Tonk, Pali, Barmer, Jaisalmer and Jalore. While collectors of Pali and Jalore – Namit Mehta and Nishant Jain – may be given bigger districts after their performance during handling crisis like situation in Biparjoy, Barmer collector Arun Kumar Purohit may be sent to cold storage. Chief minister Ashok Gehlot had shown his displeasure for mismanagement at a Mehngai Rahat camp in Barmer. Tonk Collector Chinmayee Gopal has been one seat since more than 2 years. So in order to comply by the guidelines of election commission she may get another district.
Apart from that, the list may have 20-22 more IAS officers, who have been on post for more than two years.
