BJP releases third list of 58 candidates, Acharya Bal Mukund gets ticket from Hawa Mahal

The BJP is furthering its Hindutva agenda in Rajasthan. The party has fielded another saint Bal Mukund Acharya from Jaipur as the politics of polarisation.

Bal Mukund Acharya is a prominent Hindutva face in the . With this, the BJP has so far fielded four saints – Baba Balaknath from Tijara, Mahant Pratappuri from Pokaran, Otaram Dewasi from and Bal Mukund from Hawa Mahal.


In the third list of 58 candidates, most of them are repeated candidates. Now with the release of third list, the total number of candidates announced 182 out of total 200 seats.

The list has loyalists of Vasundhara Raje – Surendra Pal TT, Gubir Singh Brar, Rampratap Kasnia, Dr. Vishwanath Meghwal, Prabhu Lal Saini, Ajay Singh Kilak and Gajendra Singh Khimsar among others.

From Sardarpura, Mahendra Singh Rathore will take on Ashok Gehlot. Rathore is former chairman of Jodhpur Development Authority.

From Tonk, Ajit Singh Mehta will take on Sachin Pilot. Mehta, an Oswal Jain is considered to an man and had been MLA in 2013.

The party has also given ticket to Subhash Meel, who joined BJP yesterday after being denied ticket from Congress. Meel will take on Mahadev Singh Khandela in Khandela.
Darshan Singh Gurjar, who has joined BJP two days back, has been given ticket from Karauli. Similarly Udai Lal Dangi, a turncoat, also got ticket from Vallabhnagar.

The party has also given ticket to Poonam Kanwar Bhati, who is daughter in law of Devi Singh Bhati, who has joined BJP a month back.

Former minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar has also got ticket from Lohagarh.
Jagat Singh, son of former Congress leader Natwar Singh got ticket Nadbai while Lalaram Bairwa has been given ticket from Shahpura in place of Kailash Meghwal, who was recently from BJP.
