BJP is likely to field new faces on all the eight assembly constituencies of Jaipur city.

Sources in the party said that a serious discussion has been held at top level on giving chance to new candidates in Jaipur.

In last elections, BJP had won three out of eight .

Sources said that Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh ( ) also wants to infuse fresh blood in Jaipur political circle.

“For last 4-5 elections, the same candidates are getting repeated. We need fresh perspective with changing times. We need to develop new leadership also. We can't always rely on old guards,” said an insider.

In last elections, senior BJP leader Arun Chaturvedi lost to Congress' candidate Pratap Singh Khachariyawas while another stalwart seven-time MLA Kali Charan Saraf could barely scrape past Congress candidate Archana Sharma.

Similarly, former minister and close aide of Vasundhara Raje, Rajpal Shekhawat lost from Jhotwara and another member of Vasundhara camp former state Ashok Parnami lost his seat from Adarsh Nagar.

Apart from veteran Kali Charan Saraf, only Ashok Lahoty and Narpat Singh Rajvi, son-in-law of former vice Bhairon Singh Shekhawat could register victories.

“Performance of Jaipur MLAs in Vidhan Sabha was also not remarkable. While Narpat Singh Rajvi is no more interested in contesting elections, Kali Charan Saraf and Ashok Lahoty also could not register their presence. We need to look at also now,” sources said.

He said that the the party is also thinking of changing face for parliamentary election also. The existing MP Ram Charan Bohra may be asked to give way for a leader who is likely to be dropped from the line up of assembly elections.
