Bihar govt reshuffles responsibilities of 17 IPS officers

Bihar government has reshuffled responsibilities of 17 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. As many as 12 officers have been transferred, while officers have been given additional charge of their functions as well as other departments. The Home Department issued a notification in this regard late on Tuesday night.

According to the notification, Pankaj Darad, who was in charge of special surveillance along with and Order, has been made ADG Anti-Terrorism Squad. He will also be in charge of ADG Law and Order and Special Surveillance Unit.

Dr. Amit Kumar Jain, who was the ADG (Weaker Sections) Crime Research Department, has been given the additional charge of ADG liquor prohibition. 

Rakesh Rathi, who was in charge of cyber crime along with IG technical services and communication, has been posted in the special branch. He has been released from additional charges.

Ranjit Kumar Mishra, who was an IG in the Special Armed Police, has been given the additional charge of IG training. 

Babu Ram, who was DIG personnel, has been given the charge of the DIG Special Armed Police post. Jayant Kam is posted in DIG Crime Research with  additional charge of DIG Crime Records Bureau.

Manavjit Singh Dhillon DIG Economic Offences was having additional charge of Liquor Prohibition, which has now been given to Rajiv Mishra, who is serving as DIG Anti-Terrorism Squad. DIG Crime Records Bureau Abhay Kumar Lal has been given the post of DIG cum Deputy Bihar Police Academy.

Tauheed Parvez, who was DIG Railway, has been made DIG Crime Investigation. 

Rajendra Kumar Bhil, who was DIG Crime Investigation, has been made DIG Personnel. Deepak Ranjan, Commandant Bihar Special Armed Police-3 Bodh Gaya has been given additional charge of Commandant Bihar Special Armed Police 17 Bodh Gaya. 

Rajiv Ranjan-1, who was SP Law and Order in Patna, has been posted as SP Economic Offenses Unit.

Beena Kumari, who was Assistant Director in Police Academy Rajgir, has been made SP Railway Muzaffarpur. Ashok Kumar Prasad, who was Commandant Bihar Special Armed Police 12 Bhim Nagar Supaul along with Special Police 15, has been given the post of Assistant Inspector General of Police Training.

Muzaffarpur Railway SP Vinay Tiwari has been made SP of Cyber ​​​​Research and Operation in EOU and Commandant B-SAP 17 Bodh Gaya Chandra Prakash has been made Assistant Director of Bihar Police Academy Rajgir.
