The appreciation of assets of chief minister Ashok Gehlot has beaten bank interest rates, gets doubled in five years.
As per affidavit filed by Gehlot, in 2018, the total asset of Gehlot was little more than Rs 5.51 crore which has gone up to more than Rs 10.90 crore.
However, Gehlot doesn't believe in carrying cash and has just Rs10,000 in hand. His wife though is richer than him carrying Rs 20,000 cash.
Gehlot and his wife both don't own any car. The annual income of Gehlot is Rs 25.74 lakh which comes from his monthly salary and rental income.
Four cases pending
Ashok Gehlot has four cases pending against him. One case is pending in Delhi court – the defamation case filed by union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat – while three cases are pending with courts in Rajasthan. One of the cases is pertaining to land allotment of Soni Hospital in Vidyadhar Nagar which is now a Manipal hospital, another is related to mining lease and the third case regarding Kali Sindh dam project has been disposed of .
