BJP central leadership swung into action to avoid any immediate fissure between leadership and former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, whose birthday bash is coinciding with state leadership's call for gherao of Chief minister's house against the incidences of paper leak in competitive examinations.

Sensing split in party's strength, the central leadership has sent national general and state incharge Arun Singh to attend both the programmes. This is aimed at soothing the nerves of Vasundhara Raje who has been longing for party's attention since party's defeat in last elections.

“Arun Singh will first participate in party's programme of CM house gherao. He will then travel to Salasar to attend Raje's birthday bash,” said BJP spokesperson Pankaj Joshi.

Two much coincidence

The coinciding of party's gherao programme and Raje's birthday celebration has created confusion among party workers. While Raje's loyalists including MLAs Kalicharan Sarraf, Pratap Singh Singhvi, Churu MP Rahul Kaswa and several other senior leaders are mobilising party workers to join Raje's celebration, state party president Satish Punia is calling for participation of all leaders and workers to make the gherao successful.

“The two programme to be held simultaneously is certain to split party's strength. The central leadership doesn't want to ignore Raje at this crucial juncture when elections are less than 9 months away. Participation of Arun Singh in both programme will send a message of solidarity among party workers and opposition,” said a BJP leader.

Crowd of one likely at Raje's b'day

Raje's loyalists have been working round the clock to come up with a grand show of strength sending a strong message to central leadership regarding CM candidature for Raje in next elections. According to party sources, more than one lakh people are likely to gather at Salasar. For this many former ministers of Raje cabinet have been visiting their respective constituencies to gather force.
