Bishnu Charan Mallick, 2007 batch IAS of Rajasthan cadre, who is serving as DCO/ DCR Registrar General in Union Home Ministry, will continue to be on central deputation till 31 December 2025 as his tenure has been extended.
Mallick had gone for a three-year deputation in December 2020 and his tenure was to end this year. But the appointment committee has extended his tenure of deputation until further order.
Apart from that, the post, which is of director level, has also been upgraded to joint secretary level till August 2025.
Who is Bishnu Charan Mallick
Bishnu Charan Mallick is a native of Jajpur Odisha. He is 2007 batch IAS and has served in various important positions in his 16 years of service including secretary Jaipur Development Authority, collector in four districts – Karauli, Jhalawar, Udaipur and Jodhpur. He has also served a commissioner excise.
