There is something wrong in Kerala cadre.
Even as the row over a Kerala IAS officer K Gopalakrishnan allegedly forming religion based WhatsApp groups of officers still steaming, another Kerala cadre IAS officer N Prasanth has openly made personal remarks attacking his senior colleague on social media.
The state government is likely to take action against the two officers as state chief secretary Sarada Muraleedharan reportedly gave adverse reports against the two to Chief Minister Pinrayi Vijayan.
IAS officer N Prasanth, 2007 batch, who is special secretary in agriculture department, has launched a personal attack against additional chief secretary (finance) A Jayathilak, 1991 batch, accusing the him of leaking out information to the media.
Prasanth even made an indirect reference to a mad character in a Malayalam film in one of his social media posts targeting Jayathilak.
Prasanth also ridiculed IAS officer K Gopalakrishnan, who is caught up in the row over creating religion based social media groups, by stating that the “brain of some officers seemed to be hacked.”
Prasanth was irked over adverse reports against him by Jayathilak accusing him of skipping work by faking outside duty while holding the post of chief executive officer of Unnathi-Kerala Empowerment Society for upliftment of SC and ST community Pasanth was also accused of keeping some files in his personal custody.
Gopalakrishnan, who succeeded Prasanth as Unnathi chief executive officer was learnt to have given the adverse information about Prasanth to higher-ups.
Prasanth also ridiculed CPM leader and former minister J Mercykutty Amma after the latter alleged that Prasanth, who earlier served as private secretary to former opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, was involved in hatching a conspiracy against the left front government over the deep sea trawler deal in 2021.
